So, Who Is The Hot French Neighbour Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) On 'Emily in Paris'?

Netflix has done it again. Its latest hit series, Emily in Paris, created by Darren Star and starring Lily Collins and newcomer Ashley Park, only dropped last weekend, but already, it’s gotten the whole world talking. And while much of that chat pokes fun at the show’s many clichés, another significant chunk of it centres on Gabriel, the charming French chef who conveniently happens to live right next door.
So, what's the deal with the actor who plays Gabriel, the hot French neighbour on Emily in Paris?
His name is Lucas Bravo and ‘cos we know you want to know, we’ve dug up everything you need to know about him below.
Who is Lucas Bravo?
Lucas Bravo is a 32-year-old French model (represented by Viva Model Management) and actor. His dad was a soccer player so while he was born in Nice in the south of France, growing up he moved all over Europe. “It was always hearbreaking to leave my friends,” Lucas told Glamour.
From the looks of his Instagram, it seems like he’s most recently been based in LA and Paris.
He actually worked as a sous chef
Before Emily in Paris, Lucas had a few small roles on French TV shows and films. Prior to the acting though, he worked in a restaurant a few years ago – as a sous chef, funnily enough, the exact role his Emily in Paris character Gabriel in does.
"A few years ago I was a sous chef in a restaurant. So when I first got the scripts, I was like, 'Oh wow, this is definitely for me, I'm definitely going to use those skills'. And then they made me cook the tortillas that I made for Emily on the show," he told US film critic Manny the Movie Guy.
He’s a massive fan of festivals
While there’s not a lot of personal life info shared on Lucas’ Instagram, one thing you will notice is how much the French actor really loves festivals. Burning Man, Africa Burn, Coachella – he seems to have hit them all up, multiple times.

Lucas also seems to really love Darren Star's work. Star is behind iconic shows Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, Sex and the City and Younger.
When asked which of the iconic producer and creator's shows Bravo liked best, he said: "I’m going to sound mainstream, but I adore Sex and the City, honestly. I watched it so many times over and over. My friends were like, 'This is not what a guy should watch.' And I strongly disagree. I learned so much about things you should or shouldn’t do—in bed or elsewhere—thanks to that show. I absolutely love it."
…and also of the show Normal People
Well, this is a bit cute: when asked by Glamour who he thought the ‘sexiest TV or movie couple’ is, Lucas revealed in his answer that he was a huge fan of Normal People. “Without a doubt, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal’s characters from Hulu’s Normal People,” he answered.
“They are amazing. I was blown away by their performance and their chemistry, and the sex scenes are pretty good. They are pretty real. So yeah, definitely that couple.”
Bravo is pretty damn humble
Probably our favourite fact about Gabriel, er, Lucas is that he sounds incredibly humble.
Of people thirsting after him on Emily in Paris, he told The Cut, “I’ve heard that before, but I’m very uncomfortable with this. I just hope people are going to be moved and touched by the show.”
He’s super professional
Though we witnessed his obvious acting talent playing Gabriel on Emily in Paris, turns out Bravo is actually very professional too.
When asked by Glamour if he’d ever date a show co-star, Bravo said: “Once you step on set, it’s a workplace, and I want to keep it professional. I mean, you never know what can happen, but I really try as much as possible to focus on the story we have to tell and the performance and the character.”
He’s still single
After watching Bravo romance Lily Collins' Emily Cooper, the question everyone (us) wants to know: is Lucas Bravo single? You’re in luck, ladies, ‘cos it appears to be that he is. In every interview question about his love life, he didn't once mention a significant other. Which is very excellent news to us.
