- The Killers and Snow Patrol Headline V Festival!

Three is the magic number as V Festival returns.

Travelling around our fine shores in early 2009, the much-loved V Festival has managed to secure three of the hottest international rock acts around  - The Killers, Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs!

Three years, three headliners; seems like the perfect opportunity to launch into a 'three is magic number' song and dance routine. Or something along those lines.

In any case, the first line-up has just been announced and it goes a little something like this: As well as glamour rockers The Killers, Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs, joining the line up thus far is UK soul sensation Duffy, Elbow, Louis XIV, The Do, Tame Impala, The Temper Trap and Canyons.

While some of the venues have been changed from previous years (higher ground equals less flooding at a temperamental time of year), the high production values and attention to detail the festival is known for is set to return. Something that both the bands and punters are sure to appreciate, in a age of plentiful ad-hoc honky-donk festival productions.

The Killers hardly need an introduction; since emerging in 2004 with their mix of synths and alt rock and Las Vegas act has conquered the world. Their fourth album, 'Day & Age' is due for release November 24 and is preceded by the single nearing it's assault on radio, 'Human'.

As for Snow Patrol, they may started life as a hum-drum indie band, but they've since come into their own and morphed into a stadium rocking mix of power pop and alt rock. Kaiser Chiefs, fresh from releasing their second album in two years 'Off With Their Heads' are gearing up for a stonker tour around the globe peddling their wares, and Aussie punters are sure to be stoked to be on their list of places to go and people to play to.
