'Teen Mom Australia' Is Back For Season 2 With A Brand New Cast Member
Teen Mom Australia is back for season 2, and it's airing on MTV later this year.
Brace yourself for more nappies, tears and tantrums because Teen Mom Australia has just been confirmed for a second season.
The Australian version of the hit Teen Mom franchise will be back with original show cast members Ammi, 20, Sita, 20, and Georgina, 21, following them as they manage their lives as young mums, along with the everyday drama that comes with being in your early twenties – you know, break-ups, new jobs, money woes, oh, and… a newborn child. Not so everyday, then.
This time round, though, Ammi, Sita and Georgina will be joined by new a Teen Mom Australia cast member: 19-year-old Melburnian Tanisha. The cameras follow Tanisha and her baby, Bianca, as she navigates coparenting with her ex-partner and a tumultuous relationship with her own mum ('mom'?), too.
As always, it's set to be a killer second series. “We’re incredibly excited to bring audiences a second season of Teen Mom Australia,” says Helen McMurdo, Senior Director of MTV’s Youth & Entertainment Brands. “The success of season one saw not only global audiences fall in love with the honest and endearing stories of these strong Australian women.”
Since the launch of the Teen Mom franchise in 2010, which follows the lives of pregnant teens and teen mums, more than 7.4 million Aussies have tuned in to watch the show. Watch Ammi, Sita, Georgina and Tanisha on Teen Mom Australia season 2 when it hits screens later this year in a free-to-air first. The season will premiere across new TV channel 10Shake and on MTV on Foxtel (channel 124), Foxtel Now, Sky (015) and Fetch (104) at the same time. Fun!
