Everything We Know About 'Sex/Life' Season 2

Season 2 of the steamy Netflix show is scheduled to drop soon. Freak out accordingly.

It's official: Netflix's Sex/Life has been renewed for a second season. The iconically raunchy show will be hitting our screens for a second instalment of the sexy and salacious lives of Billie (Sarah Shahi), Cooper (Mike Vogel) and Brad (Adam Demos).

The show was instant smash hit, with viewers glued to screen while we watched Billie reminisce on her wild NYC days and fantasise about her hot ex-boyfriend Brad. Netflix reported that in the first four weeks of Sex/Life hitting screens, an impressive 67 million households watched the first season.

And as for that shower scene? The scene that went immediately viral showing an extremely large *ahem* downstairs region racked up a huge 20 million rewatches. Turns out Netflix viewers are a bunch of horndogs. With the second season coming in hot, here's everything we know.

Will there be a season 2 of 'Sex/Life'?

Yes! On 27 September 2021, Netflix revealed that Sex/Life would indeed be returning for a second season.

Speaking to DigitalSpy, the showrunner, creator, executive producer and writer Stacy Rukeyser called Sex/Life a "dream come true."

“To create a show about empowered female sexuality that has entranced so many millions of viewers is not only immensely fun but also incredibly gratifying," she said.

"When I think about all the women who have reached out from all over the world to say that the show speaks to them in a deeply personal way, I am so inspired. I’m thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to continue telling this story for Billie, and for all of us.”

Where can I watch the trailer for 'Sex/Life' Season 2?

Although we don't have an official trailer, this teaser should hopefully be satisfying.

The season 2 announcement came with Sarah Shahi sharing a video hyping up the new season – including those impressive stats about just how many people tuned in. The teaser reflects on the huge impact season 1 had, and is getting us pretty keen for season 2.

"Thank you to those who got us here," Sarah wrote with the caption. Thank YOU, Sarah Shahi.

What was 'Sex/Life' Season 1 about?

Loosely based on B.B. Easton's memoir 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life's first season introduced us to Billie, who is getting increasingly infuriated with her suburban lifestyle.

"SEX/LIFE is the story of a love triangle between a woman, her husband, and her past that takes a provocative new look at female identity and desire," the official Netflix synopsis reads.

"Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) wasn’t always a stay-at-home wife and mother living in the suburbs. Before she married loving and reliable Cooper (Mike Vogel) and moved to Connecticut, Billie was a free-spirited wild child living in New York City with her best friend Sasha (Margaret Odette), working hard and playing even harder. Exhausted from taking care of her two young kids and feeling nostalgic for her past, Billie starts journaling and fantasizing about her passionate exploits with sexy ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos), the big heartbreak she never got over."

Season 1 tracks Billie's increasingly realistic fantasies about her ex-boyfriend Brad. Everything gets a bit messy when Billie's husband finds her sexy journals – prompting a turning point in their relationship.

Are the 'Sex/Life' cast returning for Season 2?

You betcha! For season 2, we'll again be seeing Sarah Shahi as Billie, Mike Vogel as Cooper, Adam Demos as Brad Simon and Margaret Odette as Sasha.

What is the release date for 'Sex/Life' Season 2?

No release date as of yet, but Sarah promised in her Insta post that we'd be getting Season 2 "soon". We'll keep you posted as soon as we know when Netflix's Sex/Life will be hitting our screens in all its sexy glory.
