Justin Bieber Releases Statement Denying That He Ever Sexual Assaulted Two Women

"... this story is factually impossible."

A day after two women accused Justin Bieber of sexually assaulting them via statements on Twitter, the musician has released his own statement adamantly denying the claims and threatening legal action against those who made them.

The women each shared individual stories, with both alleging the sexual assaults took place after they went to meet Justin Bieber privately. For a full run through of each of the women’s allegations, head to our initial coverage on their stories here.

Justin Bieber has since posted a series of tweets denying the women’s accusations, while making clear that he still wanted to “pay respect” to the victims of sexual abuse that do come forward.

“Rumors are rumors but sexual abuse is something I don’t take lightly,” he wrote. “I wanted to speak out right away but out of respect to so many victims who deal with these issues daily I wanted to make sure I gathered the facts before I made any statement.”

The musician said that he spoke with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and his team before deciding to speak out. Justin then posted a series of tweets which, he says, shows that he was never at the alleged hotels and venues when the women said he was, and that this proves that he did not commit any sexual assaults.

He also mentioned that he was with his ex girlfriend, Selena Gomez, at the time when the events were alleged to be taking place. “As her [Danielle’s] story told I did surprise a crowd in Austin at Sxsw where I appeared on stage with my then assistant side stage and sang a few songs. What this person did not know was that I attended that show with my then gf Selena Gomez,” he wrote.

The musician shared his Airbnb receipts from the night in question that Danielle says the abuse happened, and where Justin said he stayed with Selena.

He also used other hotel receipts to dispute the other woman, Kadi's, version of events. Justin’s full response to the claims can be found just below:

Justin ended his statement with the following tweet: “Every claim of sexual abuse should be taken very seriously and this is why my response was needed. However this story is factually impossible and that is why I will be working with twitter and authorities to take legal action.”

Since Justin's statement was released, some followers on Twitter have come out disputing some of the musician's claims – providing receipts that suggest Selena actually may not have been with Justin when he said she was. Here's one such tweet.

The two women have not yet responded to Justin Bieber’s statement about their allegations. Selena Gomez has also stayed quiet on the matter.

A series of sexual assault allegations have come to light over the past few days. On the weekend, The Fault In Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old teenager in 2014 and sending inappropriate messages to a number of underage fans. One called his behaviour "creepy". Elgort has denied the assault allegations, and did not respond to the screenshots, which allegedly show him communicating inappropriately with school-aged fans.
