Now, one girl named Reese Harder - TikTok handle @reesehardy_ - was clearly having an awful day, but pushed through the pain and participated in the challenge anyway, despite tears running down her face.
It's a TikTok that has blown up exponentially, and now this poor girl's crying dance moves have been seen across all corners of the internet - including by Mariah Carey herself.
Mariah retweeted the video on Twitter, and gave Reese some words of inspo.
"Dancing and crying at the same time, more than I could do," Carey wrote on Twitter. "Wipe them tears girl!"
In fact, Carey is so obsessed with the #ObsessedChallenge that she thought she'd give it a crack herself.
